BOOKING POLICY / TERMS & CONDITIONS
CANCELLATION POLICY
Payment Requirement:
Full payment is due 30 days prior to booking date.
Cancellation policy:
14 – 10 days: 30% of trip value is retained by Muirs Tours. Balance will be refunded.
9 days or less: 100% cancellation penalty applies.
Weather Cancellations and Delays: A delay and / or cancellation due to weather is at the discretion of your skipper and will be communicated accordingly. Generally, a trip will cancel or be delayed due to exceptionally strong sea conditions where it is deemed to be unsafe for passengers and crew to travel on a given day. We recommend allowing a three-day window in your itinerary to provide flexibility for your guests, should weather affect activity plans.
If the weather prevents access to the sea (and the remainder of the experience can proceed) the boat and fishing component will be exchanged for a Heli Craypot Lift and extended cultural highlights, including Marae visit and carving interpretation in lieu.
Weather considerations will be communicated by phone at least 48 hours prior to your booking date. Should weather affect the experience and cancel all arrangements, 70% of the total booking cost will be refunded.
If you are unsure of any of the above, or have any questions, please feel free to get in touch 021 33 99 93

ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ONBOARD
BYO alcohol is permitted onboard, but remains at the captain’s discretion, as the safety to other guests and the safety of the boat is paramount.
KEEPING FISH FOR THE TABLE
If you wish to keep fish for the table, please bring a suitable chilly bin that will ensure your catch will stay on ice/chilled for your travels home.
SAFETY ONBOARD
We take your safety very seriously, please advise us at the time of booking if you have any medical conditions which we need to be aware of. We also ask that you tell us of any allergies or food related issues so we can cater accordingly. Please advise us of this well in advance of your trip. This will be covered in our onboard safety briefing.
MECHANICAL DIFFICULTIES
If for any unforeseen circumstances, due to mechanical difficulties, the boat is unable to leave, we will work to reschedule to a date that best suits you.
